Parents and their kids will have the opportunity to team up to show their treasure hunting skills off.
The town of Moonbeam has come together with Val-Horizons, Healthy Kids Kapuskasing and the Township of Fauquier-Strickland to organize a Scavenger Hunt within Moonbeam.
Part-Time Staff and Organizer Danelle Gauthier says the event is to get kids four and up active and outdoors.
Gauthier says the event is to continue past traditions and also break down barriers between towns.
She also says there will be prizes for the winner of the competition, as well as even participation and registration prizes.
The event takes place in Moonbeam on Friday, August 24th beginning at 10:30am.
