Smooth Rock Falls has seen some investment in community initiatives.
The North Claybelt Community Futures Development Corporation has made three separate donations from its Special Initiative Fund to help fund community projects or ongoing initiatives within Smooth Rock Falls.
AGM Executive Director of North Claybelt Linda Semecyszyn was on hand to present a cheque to the three different projects.
NCCFDC funded $496.50 to the Smooth Rock Falls Economic Development Corporation in order to go towards the purchase of a multi-functional printer.
The NCCFDC also donated $1,000 towards the Royal Canadian Legion – Branch 305 for the purchase of new tables and chairs.
Finally, they donated $1,000 to the Fauqier Arctic Riders Snowmobile Club to help them in their repairs of the snowmobile trails groomer blade.
In total, North Claybelt donated nearly $2,500 to initiatives in the area.
