For the first time NEOFACS will roll out it’s Back to School Campaign along the Highway 11 corridor.
According to Northeastern Ontario Family & Child Services Volunteer Coordinator Mireille Dubosq, they have held the campaign for many years and now for the first time it includes communities from Hearst through to Matheson.
Dubosq says the purpose of their campaign is to support families with the costs of supporting their children going into school this year.
She says she has high hopes that people will show great support for fellow families.
Dubosq says considering this is their first go at the campaign within these communities, they are unsure of what the response will be, and have planned accordingly.
She says donations will be accepted at the NEOFACS offices in any of the townships between the two communities.
Dubosq also says the campaign will run through the entire month of August, and they will still accept donations into early September if need be.
