The garbage truck could not make its rounds.
That’s according to the Town of Kapuskasing, as yesterday residents were told that the residential garbage truck for the area broke down during the morning run.
Public Works Manager Eric Cote says community members were alerted that the truck was in the midst of repairs and should be back up and running as usual by next week.
Cote says that residents should leave their bins out and if the town did not get to them by the end of Wednesday to not worry, as they will be retrieved today at some point.
The Town and Public Works both wanted to thank community members for their understanding and cooperation through the issue.
Residents are also reminded that residential garbage pickup is scheduled to begin today at 2:00pm.
