Mamawi Brings Francophones And Indigenous Youth Together

For a third consecutive year young Francophones and Aboriginals have come together to share their cultures.

Camp Mâmawi is underway once again in Kapuskasing explains Camp Coordinator Jason Ormandy who says participants between the seventh and 12th grades will enjoy a unique experience.

Ormandy says this year will see an art workshop hosted by Ottawa area Artist Mique Michelle along with a trip on the Abitibi River.

He says this year, Michelle will be creating a massive Franco-autochtones or French and Indigenous mural.
