Kapuskasing Municipal Elections See Recent Increase In Candidates

Just under a month remains for municipal election applications in Kapuskasing, and a second candidate has come forth for Mayor.

After the announcement in May of current Mayor Alan Spacek’s decision to not seek a fourth straight term in the role, there has now been a second candidate for the position in current councillor and resident Dave Plourde.

The only other official candidate for the position has come from fellow Kapuskasing resident Vic Fournel.

Since our last update in mid-June, there has been another two candidates for councillour positions in Ken Munnoch and Bruce Newton, who now join Marcel Valliere.
