Photo credit: Northern CollegeOn September 4th the last group of students begin the Hard Rock Mining program at Northern College under Glencore’s Kidd Operations.Then in November when they graduate from the 12 week program, Tahoe Canada will run the program from that point on.Tahoe has been named Northern College’s new partner with the Hard Rock Mining program at the school.Tahoe, Glencore and Northern had an official “Passing of the Torch” ceremony last Thursday to mark the changeover.The latest Northern College Hard Rock Mining graduatesNorthern began the mining program in 2016 with GlencoreIn that time, 60 students, which include 12 women and 14 First Nation participants, have graduated from the mining program.
