First Nation leaders elect new Ontario Regional Chief

First Nations have a new Ontario Regional Chief.

She’s RoseAnne Archibald from the Tagwa Tagamou Nation just outside Cochrane.

Archibald defeated Isadore Day, the former Chief of the Serpent River First Nation west of Sudbury.

Day was going after his third term as Regional Chief.

The election took place at the annual All Ontario Chiefs’ Conference at the Nipissing First Nation Wednesday morning.
