Kapuskasing is planning some work regarding storm and sanitary piping along Highway 11.
According to Public Works Manager Eric Cote, the town has awarded Villeneuve Construction a $4,726,018 contract to complete the project, agreed upon by council at a special meeting last night.
Cote also says the town must be able to complete the project within two years for their grants to be maintained.
He says the project will see every pipe replaced from Gulf Street through to Brunelle Road North.

Cote says the reasoning behind these replacements is simple, improved flow.
He says they are currently within the paperwork phase of signing the contract with Villeneuve Construction before they officially break ground.
