One of Kapuskasing’s longtime recognizable faces is receiving some more well deserved recognition.
Claude Boucher has been announced as the Senior of the Year for 2018.
At council Boucher was recognized for his tireless efforts within the community, most notably his fundraising efforts through Kap Gives Back.
Mayor Alan Spacek says Boucher is one of their most deserving candidates to date for his relentless work in his own community.
The announcement was made at the start of Monday evening’s council meeting; Boucher follows up Gilbert Peters who was last year’s honouree.
