Annual Police Torch Run For Special Olympics Today

Today the community will come together to support its most unique athletes.

That’s according to Kapuskasing OPP Officer Wade Torok, who says the annual Law Enforcement Torch Run held by the police for Special Olympics Canada will be taking place once again.

Torok says anyone is welcome to come participate in their two kilometre jog or bike that will begin and end this year at the Kapuskasing OPP Detachment.

He says anyone living along that route or people who want to come out and cheer can do just that as well as give donations.

Torok says donations will all be going to local Kapuskasing athletes.

The run begins at 5:00pm just outside the OPP station, you are asked to show up a little in advance.
