Kapuskasing students will get pedaling to keep the memory of a former resident alive.
Thursday, the Porcupine Health Unit will be hosting the 12th annual Bike Rodeo in memory of the late Alissa Wilker.
PHU Public Health Nurse Joanne Bennett says the event is to carry on the memory of Alissa, who loved being active outdoors.
Bennett says the rodeo will follow a similar route to last year making a pass through the circle while being guided by Kapuskasing Fire Chief Pat Kennedy.

She also mentions that during the trip the students will stop off at the arena in order to complete a bike safety check as well as go over hand signals, rules of the road and how to wear their helmets properly.
The event takes place Thursday, June 7th beginning at 9:00am.
