Hair-O-Thon Supporting Local Youth Battling With Brain Tumor

For the sixth year in a row, Kapuskasing will come together to support a community member in need.

The Hair-O-Thon for 2018 will be the fourth year it has been hosted by Les Evenements Sans Frontiers, after the idea first began with Euphoria Spa and Hair back in 2013.

Organizer Meereille Dubosq says it’s an easy decision to come back year in and year out with another event.

Dubosq says this year they are supporting the fight of 17-year-old Kapuskasing resident Jocelyn Phillips and her battle with a brain tumor.

She says coming back and doing the event is important to the families in need, something they never forget.

Dubosq says Phillips has been battling a growing brain tumor and will be continuing to do so.

The Hair-O-Thon takes place at the Royal Canadian Legion in Kapuskasing this Sunday beginning at 10:00am, for more details go here.
