Police have arrested a British Columbian male for drug trafficking near Hearst.
Around 1:30pm on May 13th Hearst members of the OPP intercepted a vehicle speeding along Highway 11 just west of the town.
A police investigation into the driver of the car showed he was in possession of a controlled substance.
Officers seized marijuana as well as just over $1,000 in Canadian cash, and estimated the street value of the seizure at roughly $36,000.

Police arrested the 62-year-old B.C. resident on four charges including one count of trafficking over three kilograms, one charge of possession of a controlled substance, one count of possession of stolen property and one charge for speeding.
The accused is scheduled to appear in Hearst court on June 1st.
