Debate Gives Peak At Perspectives Of Three Candidates Vying For Local MPP

Three voices, three separate views on how to best move Northern Ontario into the future.

That is what was witnessed tonight at the Centre des Loisirs during the Candidate Debate for the Mushkegowuk-James Bay riding.

Ontario PC Candidate Andre Robichaud, Ontario Liberal Candidate Gaetan Baillargeon and Ontario New Democrat Guy Bourgouin all spoke on the issues facing Northerners.

Robichaud used the time to discuss how his plan focuses on changes to two issues plaguing northerners.

Bourgouin, meanwhile, says his experience representing the local area in multiple industries is a major plus.

As well, Baillargeon feels his connections to the area and background should show he represents it best.

The debate, which took place at the Centre des Loisirs, saw community members share questions and gain responses in person from the three candidates.

The provincial election to decide the first ever Member of Provincial Parliament for Mushkegowuk-James Bay takes place June 7th.
