Fire Damages Home On Brunetville, Leaves No One Injured

A lawn fire on Brunetville Road has injured no one but damaged one home.

Fire Chief Pat Kennedy tells Moose News that crews arrived on scene around 11:00am Sunday.

Kennedy says the fire was unfortunately started by the homeowner themselves, while attempting to burn the grass on their front lawn.

He says the home, 140 Brunetville Road, was severely damaged after the fire reached from the lawn onto the front of the house.

Kennedy says for a few hours access to Hudson Place and Erickson Street was closed off due to the fire.

He says luckily no one was hurt during the flames, and the fire crew was able to quickly reach the scene to put out the blaze.
