Conservative MP’s Passing Shocks Fellow Politicians

Conservative MP Gord Brown’s sudden passing has shocked a fellow Northern Ontario colleague.

That’s according to Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes, who says the Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes MP’s passing was a major shock.

Brown, who was 57-years-old, passed away Wednesday afternoon after suffering a heart attack in his Parliament Hill office.

Hughes says the fact Brown was so active on the daily made this news even more of a shock.

She says this is a major concern seeing now three MP’s pass away due to heart attacks in the past four years.

She says there needs to be more done to try and improve awareness regarding better care of one’s self, and to try and lift some of the stresses that many of these MP’s face.
