Spring cleaning is ready to begin in Kapuskasing.
Beginning Monday, May 7th the tree, leaf, branch storage area will see access made available through the Sports Palace Arena parking lot.
The town in a statement online says only branches, stumps, leaves and grass clippings are acceptable, meanwhile bags or containers are not allowed as they must be emptied on site.
The following week the municipality will hold Trash Swap Week, meaning from Monday, May 14th through 20th trash such as furniture, TV sets, electronics, bicycles can be placed roadside for pickup. The town asks any residents with larger appliances for disposal to first reach out and contact Public Works. No tires, demolition or construction materials will be picked up.
Finally, Special Garbage Collection Week will run Monday, May 21st through 25th on regular garbage day as a final pickup for any leftover trash remaining.
