Gaetan Baillargeon has been named the Liberal candidate for Mushkegowuk-James Bay.
The Liberal Party of Ontario has announced their first ever candidate for the new Northern Ontario riding as the 37-year-old Hearst resident.
The candidacy meeting took place in Hearst at the Legion Tuesday evening where Baillargeon was surrounded by family and friends.
Baillargeon is best known in the community as a business manager for a majority First Nation-owned Forestry Company.
He is also a fully bilingual Franco-Ontarian.
The provincial election stands at just over a month away on June 7th.
