A watermain break closed off a portion of Spruce Street in Kapuskasing.

Thursday around noon Spruce Street became closed off from Hemlock Street to Cedar Street in order for repairs to be done to a broken watermain.

Public Works crews were able to be on scene as early as 11:00am to begin fixing the issue.

Some residents along Spruce as well as Hemlock and Cedar may have suffered a loss of water pressure through the afternoon Thursday prior to the break being fixed.

Public Works crews were able to repair the break by the early evening.
