Notre-Dame Hospital In Hearst Receives Over $4,300 For New IV Pump

Notre-Dame Hospital in Hearst has received $4,370 for a brand new IV pump.

The announcement was made Tuesday that a grant was received from the Northern Cancer Fund of the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation.

Executive Leader of Long Term Care at Notre-Dame Hospital Josee Mitron says the hospital is grateful to the foundation for this grant to help purchase an infusion pump.

Mitron says the pump will help to reduce medication errors and also increase patient safety.

The grant is part of an ongoing commitment by the Northern Cancer Fund since 2002 that has seen $74,332 invested for patients at Notre-Dame Hospital.
