Nominations begin for the lead up to this October’s municipal election in Hearst.
The town has put up information online to alert the community that beginning May 1st nominations will become open until Friday, July 27thth at 2:00pm.
A nomination form can be filled out during this period of time and handed in to Town Clerk Janine Lecours at the Gilles Gagnon Visitor Centre during business hours Monday to Friday.
A free information session on the roles and responsibilities of a council member can also be attended on Wednesday, May 2nd at the centre beginning at 7:00pm.
