The local ski club is asking the Kapuskasing community to please stop destroying their trails.
The Kap Nordic Skiers Volunteer Paula Rich reached out to Moose News over the weekend to voice her displeasure with the amount of ATV’s and snowmobiles that have been destroying KNS trails.
Rich says they have been dealing with this issue for a few years now, and the club has recently been debating whether or not to put up a fence to keep out motorized traffic.
However, she says this would be an expensive venture for the volunteer-based club.
Rich says they wanted to create more awareness to the problem, considering they are currently still using the trails.
She says any motorized vehicle will destroy the work that many volunteer groomers have spent all season putting in.
