Kapuskasing is weighing the possibility of purchasing a new dump truck, versus repairing their current.
Mayor Alan Spacek says the town’s 14-year-old one-ton dump truck is in need of repairs, worth up to $13,000.
Spacek says since January the Public Works department has already rid of two pickup trucks and two utility trucks due to wear and tear.
He says council is in agreeance that they must explore all of their options.

Spacek says despite losing four other trucks, there are no plans to replace them.
Currently, the one-ton dump truck is used daily for hauling material, gravel, snow and is a major part of their spring cleanup and recycling program.
