A vehicle fire brought Highway 11 down to a single lane.

That’s according to Ontario 511, who reported the issue as of 8:00am this morning.

Kapuskasing resident Kevin Robichaud also noticed the transport truck on fire while he was driving along Highway 11 for work Friday.

Robichaud alerted Moose News that the truck was near the intersection of Highway 11 and 655, which is found between Cochrane and Smooth Rock Falls.

The fire was reported to police soon after the incident occured.

Crews arrived on scene and were able to allow the truck to burn out before re-opening a single lane going northbound on Highway 11 around 10:00am.
