Young Artists Get Put On Display At Local Restaurant

For a second time in a year, young artists are displaying their proud work for all to enjoy.

According to Artshine Art Instructor Liette Croteau along with the Kapuskasing Indian Friendship Centre, they are putting on another Art Gallery for the community.

Croteau says last night they began hanging all of their artwork inside local restaurant the Salty Pig CO. Chon, and she says they plan to leave it up until it is all sold.

However, she says the kids are more excited about their art simply being in the restaurant, than they are about the money.

Croteau says from the fall session to the spring, there’s also been a clear difference in their work ethic and end results.

She also says the artwork can be purchased for $20, half of which goes to the child artist, and half of which goes to ArtShine to help them continue to deliver the program within the community.
