Former Kapuskasing Resident Organizes First Ever Strongman Show In Timmins

A former Kapuskasing resident will headline the first strongman show in Timmins.

Maxime Boudreault, originally from Kapuskasing, is the owner of Stay Strong fitness studio in Timmins and has played a major role in organizing this competition.

This Friday, Boudreault will also compete within the city’s first ever strongman event.

He says they have planned separate contests from the actual weightlifting competition, such as kid’s events on Friday and also a meet and greet with the athletes.

Boudreault says his hope is to see strongman competitions begin to become a regular sight within the area, and to inspire future generations to join.

The show in Timmins is part of a series of events under the title Stay Strong Circuit that will see competitions in Hearst and Moonbeam as well as four other stops before the National Competition in Kingston later this year.
