Residents within the Cochrane community will be seeing some heavy duty repairs to Fifth Street over the summer.
The town has announced that they will repave the street from Tenth and Eleventh Avenue Lane through to and including the Twelfth Avenue intersection.
Villeneuve Construction was awarded the contract this past fall and is anticipating a start date of early June for the project.
The company has stated that they will be pulling out asphalt from the street, then reshaping prior to paving, so there will be detours during their work.
Currently, Infrastructure Services Director Shane Skinner says they are still waiting on a finalized project schedule.
