Cochrane has officially declared April 2nd as World Autism Awareness Day in town.
Mayor Peter Politis and the town made the announcement this past week.
In a town statement, the municipality explains how joining the official celebration on the day helps to not only support people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families, but further the community’s knowledge and awareness.
The town is also welcoming the public to participate in the Autism flag raising ceremony.
The flag raising will take place the following day on Tuesday, April 3rd at Town Hall at 10:00am.
