Blue Bird Bus Line will continue to provide public transportation for the disabled within Kapuskasing.

Earlier this week at council, a two-year contract was agreed to with the bus line to continue operations within the municipality.

Chair of Finance Dave Plourde says Blue Bird has been a consistent partner through the years.

Plourde says the municipality certainly tries to promote local services.

As part of the agreement, the rider fare was increased to $2.50 and the annual pass cost to $250 as of January this year.
