12-Year-Old Boy One Of Three Suffering Injuries Due To Snowmobile Collisions Over Weekend

Three separate snowmobile collisions have put three people in the hospital, including a 12 -year-old boy.

Members of the James Bay Detachments of the OPP responded to three different collisions involving motorized snow vehicles Saturday between 12:30pm and 3:00pm.

Cochrane officers responded to a pair of collisions. The first of which was near Fauquier around 12:30pm where a 54-year-old man from Indian River suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The second took place around 1:45pm near Cochrane, where a 27-year-old local man also suffered non-life threatening injuries.

The third collision took place in Harty around 3:00pm, as Kapuskasing officers found a 12-year-old boy from Wasaga Beach who had suffered life-threatening injuries.

All three were transported to a hospital.

Police are reminding snowmobilers to drive with caution and within their capability.
