Fire On Mundy Avenue Leaves No Injuries, But Destroys Home

A fire in Kapuskasing has left no one injured, but destroyed a family’s home.

Around 6:00pm Thursday members of the Kapuskasing Fire Department were called to a kitchen and grease fire at a home at 75B Mundy Avenue.

Fire Chief Pat Kennedy says upon arriving the house was engulfed in flames.

Kennedy says a family of four and their pets were all safely rescued from the burning home.

Currently, the home has suffered immense damage forcing the family to take residence elsewhere for the time being.
