Kapuskasing Receiving Almost $300,000 In Public Transit Funding

Kapuskasing will be seeing $290,000 coming their way to help with public transit.

This past Friday it was announced that multiple levels of government have come together to provide infrastructure funding for public transit within Northern Ontario.

On Tuesday, Kapuskasing was given $159,000 from the federal government and $131,000 from the province.

As well, Cochrane is to receive $58,000 from the federal government and $48,000 from the province, equaling just over $115,000.

As Mayor Alan Spacek said to Moose News Tuesday, the town will now review the allocated funds and discuss further at council this coming Monday what step to take next.
