The Cochrane Classic Vintage Riders 9th annual Tom Saul Memorial Ride for cancer has raised the most funds from any event to date.
That’s according to Dan Girard, Member of the CCVR, who says the run which took place Saturday surpassed last year’s best-ever total of $7,500 donated to Lady Minto Hospital.
Albeit the total has not been completely calculated as of yet, and will still take another few weeks to do so, members say once complete they will present 100% of the funds to the Chemotherapy Unit.
The ride began at the Polar Bear Habitat before finishing at the Abitibi Campground.
Members say next year’s event will also take place in early March, and will mark the 10th anniversary of the ride for cancer.
