Kapuskasing has held off on approving memberships for three possible associations until they hear from their Mayor.
Chair of Finance Dave Plourde says council decided Monday to hold off on approving or disapproving three separate donations to different organizations for 2018.
The three organizations being referred to are: Northeast Community Network, Association Francaise des Municipalités de l’Ontario and Northeastern Ontario Municipal Association.
Plourde says the decision was made due to council feeling the need for further input from Mayor Alan Spacek prior to a decision.
He says the recommendation given by council was simply to wait.
Plourde says council will bring back the membership discussion at their next meeting in three weeks’ time on March 26th.
