The local food bank received a friendly boost from a local business this weekend.

Cabin Fever General Manager Candace Fortin says Saturday they held a fundraiser to bring awareness to those dealing with hunger.

Fortin says all customers who donated earned a free snowmobile ride, and overall 40 to 50 pounds in non-perishable food donations were collected.

She says the day went about as well as they could have hoped.

Fortin says they look forwarding to holding this fundraiser again in the future.

Cabin Fever donated all of the food collected to the Kapuskasing Food Bank.
