Heavy Overnight Snowfall Expected For Local Area

A special weather statement is in effect for the Kapuskasing, Hearst and Smooth Rock Falls communities.

Environment Canada has issued the warning based on the expectancy of 10 to 15 centimetres of snowfall overnight Thursday into Friday morning.

The weather agency says a low-pressure system should spread snow into the region overnight.

Environment Canada expects snow to taper off to flurries by Friday afternoon and early evening.
