The Cochrane Fire Department and Cochrane officers of the OPP’s James Bay Detachments faced-off in their annual hockey game for charity.

The annual charity event took place on Valentine’s Day evening at the Tim Hortons Event Centre.

Fire Chief Richard Vallee says in total they were able to raise $1,100 for Muscular Dystrophy.

Vallee says the turnout was splendid as it has been in years past, and the game was also a fast paced and exciting one that ended tied at six.

He says all proceeds from the game were donated to the MD society within Cochrane.
