Moonbeam’s Remi Lake Receiving Upgrades

Families within the municipality of Moonbeam will be benefitting from upgrades to Remi Lake.

FedNor announced Tuesday that improved water access to Remi Lake will be a result of a $22,500 investment from the Government of Canada.

Minister of Innovation and the Minister in charge of FedNor, the Honourable Navdeep Bains, says the investment will support the purchase and installation of a floating dock to provide residents with safe and convenient access to the waterfront.

President of Friends of Rene Brunelle Provincial Park Kevin Robichaud says many local residents use the boat launch and dock while camping and visiting the park, and this upgrade will ensure everyone can enjoy it safely.

With today’s investment, FedNor has now approved $1.4 million towards 24 separate projects under the Canada 150 Community Infrastructure Program within the Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing region.
