The 2018 Kap Gives Back Fundraiser is officially underway this week as ticket sales have begun.
Organizer of the annual fundraiser Claude Boucher says this year they will be collecting for three local charities; Animal Rescue Kapuskasing, Kap Nordic Ski Club and the Kapuskasing Food Bank.
Boucher says the fundraising efforts will be identical to years past, as has the generosity of the merchants.
He says they have consistently raised near $30,000 a year and hope they can achieve that once more.
Tickets will be sold at different locations around town including Larabie’s Independent Grocer for a nine-day period starting this week.
