The OPP are investigating a fatal crash along Highway 11 just south of Temagami that put four people in hospital and has left one dead.

Members of the Timiskaming Detachment of the OPP responded to a call around 1:42pm on January 3rd to a collision along Highway 11.

Police arrived to find four vehicles stuck together due to the collision, and came to find four people who had sustained non-life threatening injuries, and one in critical condition.

Officers rushed the critical passenger to hospital where the 91-year-old Fauquier resident Joseph Brule succumbed to his injuries within hospital weeks later on January 26th.

Currently, the OPP Technical Collision Investigators are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
