The first Miss Northern Corridor has been crowned as Kapuskasing resident Jany Scherer.
In Kapuskasing last night, the first ever Miss Northern Corridor pageant took place.
The pageant also saw the awarding of First Lady to Jessie Piche, Second lady to Arianne Rochon and Miss Friendship awarded to Kelly Lantin, all of whom are from Kapuskasing.
Following her win, Scherer says she is happy and shocked.
This year’s pageant continued forward the tradition of the former Miss Kapuskasing pageant, with a little more inclusiveness to the surrounding area.
