United States Extradite Long-Term Offender To Canada Who Has Ties To Cochrane

Members of the OPP have made their way to California to bring back a long-term offender who has ties to Cochrane and Timmins.

Since April of 2016 the OPP Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement or ROPE squad has been seeking extradition from the United States for 49-year-old Kenneth Wayne Froude.

Froude has an extensive criminal history of four convictions of sex-related offences, including assault, confinement and robbery.

After walking away from a halfway house in Kingston in 2013, he was eventually located in San Bernadino, California in 2015 and arrested by members of local police.

Froude has since been extradited to Canada as of February 9th on three charges of breaching long-term supervision and one charge of failing to comply with the sex offender registry act.
