International Safer Internet Day for 2018 had a focus on creating safer avenues for children to explore the internet without being exploited.
Media Officer Stephanie Belec says year’s theme is “Create, Connect, Share and Respect, A Better Internet Starts With You”.
Belec says the OPP and Canadian Centre for Child Protection have collaborated on this project to enhance youth safety in Ontario.
She says there many great safety tools offered through the cyber tip website.

Belec says no one is immune to victimization online.
The OPP’s International Safer Internet Day took place this year on February 6th.
