Kapuskasing Man To Serve 18 Months For Child Pornography

A Kapuskasing man has been sentenced to 18 months in jail for a 2013 incident.

Kevin Lovequist, who pleaded guilty to one count of possession of child pornography, has now been sentenced to a year-and-a-half of jail time and two years’ worth of probation.

It was back in October of 2013 that the OPP seized child pornography from several of the accused’s electronic devices, which lead to the charges against him.

Justice Cindy MacDonald, who handed down the sentence in mid-January, additionally has prohibited Lovequist from owning a weapon for the next decade.

MacDonald has also ordered that he supply a sample of his DNA so he can be registered as a sex offender.
