The OPP is reminding the Kapuskasing community to lock up their vehicles or risk losing them to theft.

Media Officer Stephanie Belec says albeit there has been a decline recently in the provincial and criminal offences within the area, it is never a bad time to practice prevention.

Belec says tips that the James Bay Detachments suggest would be to make sure you are bringing personal items inside the home.

Belec says being extra cautious and taking the step of purchasing a security system or extra lights would be beneficial.
