Sensenbrenner Hospital will be better addressing the primary health care needs of patients without a primary care provider.
The Kapuskasing hospital will be providing new services such as; a Virtual Family Physician and a Locum family Clinic.
Registered Practical Nurse Lise Kozlvich says this will help eliminate the use of emergency services for non-urgent visits.
Kozlvich also says this will benefit many women in the area who will now be able to receive a regular Pap test.
She says the virtual physician will provide more continuity of care.
Kozlvich says the family clinic will provide help with the overload from the emergency department.
