OPP Investigate Crash Between Snowmobiles And Vehicle

The OPP is currently investigating a crash between a snowmobile and a vehicle in Kapuskasing on Ash Street.

Kapuskasing officers of the OPP were alerted of a crash on Ash Street last Friday that resulted in no injuries.

Police investigation thus far has determined that two youths driving snowmobiles eastbound on an OFSC trail failed to stop for traffic, resulting in the collision.

Officers are now advising riders that you must be 16 years of age with a valid driver’s license to operate a sled or snowmobile and 12 years of age to ride an OFSC trail.

The OPP is also reminding snowmobilers and sledders to abide by provincial and municipal laws when riding.

Currently, the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
