Southern Snowmobilers Looking Up North For Trail Time

Many snowmobile enthusiasts from Southern Ontario are making their way up north towards Kapuskasing, Cochrane and Iroquois Falls to find trail time.

Snowmobilers from Southern Ontario have been dealing with up-and-down weather over the past few weeks leading to a lack of trail riding time.

The Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs website lists Districts one through 11 as unavailable, leaving everything below Kirkland Lake unusable.

Kap Sno-Rovers Member Jim Mangan says due to this, there has been a slight increase in the amount of riders that have made their way through the Kapuskasing area.

The North Bay Snowmobile Club also says the back and forth weather between rain and snow in their area has been a major factor in riders heading farther up north to find trails.
