Kapuskasing Man Receives Additional Jail Time For Spitting On Officers

A Kapuskasing resident currently serving time for a parole violation has added another two months to his sentence.

26-year-old Sebastien Therrien, currently serving time at Monteith Correctional Centre in Timmins, has pleaded guilty to the assault of two separate officers after spitting in their faces.

Judge Martin Lambert, who handed out the sentence, says the incident at the correctional centre took place back in late October of this year.

Therrien, who was arrested in August of 2017 for a breach of his parole, previously served a three-year sentence for aggravated assault as well as breaking and entering from a 2014 case.

Therrien has been charged with 60 more days of incarceration following the completion of his current sentence.
